The county commissioners appointed a new solicitor at the Wednesday, March 9, meeting.

Christopher Gabriel, of Cafardi, Ferguson, Wyrick Weis & Gabriel, of Sewickley, was appointed to serve in the post, with a total cost not to exceed $45,000 for the remainder of this year. Sewickley is located in Allegheny County, just west of Pittsburgh.

Gabriel replaces attorney Francis O’Connor, who was removed from the position by the commissioners in February.

The commissioners appointed Brandon Cleveland, of South Auburn, to fill the vacant seat on the county’s planning commission, effective March 9 through Dec. 31, 2023.

Timothy Landucci, of Brackney, was hired to the position of Assistant Director of Assessment, effective March 10.

The commissioners acknowledged the hiring of Jennifer Bonavita by President Judge Jason Legg to the position of Courtroom Technician/Recorder, effective March 21.
