The Montrose Area softball team was handed a 7-0 loss from Dunmore at home on Wednesday in the District II Class AA quarterfinals.
The Meteors mustered just one hit as Alana Jerauld knocked a single as Dunmore’s Sarah Ross fired a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts.
Montrose’s Lacy Nealy took the pitching loss as she gave up six earned runs on seven hits with two walks while striking out three in a complete-game outing.
Montrose ends its season with a 12-4 record.
