Players named to girls’ soccer All-Region team

The following athletes were named to the 2013 Times-Tribune All Region girls’ soccer team:

Jenny Molenko
Mountain View, senior
Forward
Numbers: 40 goals, 13 assists
Noteworthy: Third
All-Region selection; Lackawanna League Division IV first-team all-star and MVP; Also a first-team all-star in 2012 and 2011; Had 11 goals and 4 assists in three district playoff games.

 

 

Steph Ostir
Mountain View, sophomore
Defender

Numbers: goals, 1 assist
Noteworthy: First All-Region selection; 2013 Division IV first-team all-star; Helped anchor a defense that allowed just four goals over the team’s final 12 games.

 

 

Anna Churco
Montrose, junior
Goalkeeper
Numbers: 7 shutouts, 14 goals allowed
Noteworthy: All-Region selection; Record 80 saves in 11 regular season matches; Had 20 saves in the Lady Meteors’ 2-1 victory over Lakeland on Oct. 8.
