Tiffany Remington dishes up a bowl creamy potato and ham soup Monday to South Montrose Community Church “Soup Night” server Janet Small while Kathy McCain monitors the Italian sausage stew pot. The free meal offers an average of 80 diners each month two kinds of soup, fresh breads, salad and dessert. Soup Night is held the third Monday of each month, September though April. Upcoming soup nights are scheduled for March 17 and April 21. Free-will donations are used to fund future Soup Nights and the local food pantry.
