Susquehanna County Council of Republican Women held their annual picnic on July 17, at the Green Gables Pavilion in New Milford.
President Marion O’Malley welcomed fellow Republicans from Bradford, Wyoming, Wayne, and Lackawanna Counties as well as State Senator Lisa Baker, State Representatives Sandra Major and Tina Pickett; Republican County Chairman Donna Cosmello and Vice-Chairman Carolyn Paccio, former County Chairman Mike Redding and former Republican Women State President Carol Masters
Elected officials from Susquehanna County able to attend were: Commissioner Alan Hall; District Attorney Jason Legg; Sheriff Lance Benedict; Coroner Tony Conarton; Treasurer Cathy Benedict; Register and Recorder Mary Evans; Prothonotary Sue Eddleston
Cosmello, the county chairperson of the party, spoke of the need for volunteers to work in the upcoming election. “This November will be a tough election and we need to be a team,” she said. She also introduced the newly appointed committee people.
Following a bountiful picnic buffet, those attending enjoyed the much anticipated raffle with items donated by members as well as quests from other counties.
