A Susquehanna man accused of repeatedly raping a child over the course of several years waived his preliminary hearing last week in New Milford District Court.
The case will now move on to the Susquehanna County Court of Common Pleas.
Edward Chandler, 41, was charged earlier this month with over 20 counts of child rape, along with multiple felony counts of involuntary deviant sexual intercourse of a person less than 16 years of age; aggravated indecent assault – complainant less than 13 years of age; other related felony charges; and misdemeanor counts of indecent assault – person less than 13 years of age.
The Susquehanna County Independent does not identify the victims of alleged sexual assault.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the victim detailed numerous cases of abuse that took place in residences in Oakland Township and in Susquehanna.
Chandler is being held in the Susquehanna County Correctional Facility on $75,000 bail.
