Katie Bennett, Kenzie Jones and Justine Johns all finished in the top five for Elk Lake, which posted three wins at Valley View on Tuesday, Oct. 14 to finish undefeated in the regular season.
Elk Lake picked up wins over Abington Heights, North Pocono and Valley View.
Montrose dropped three meets. Emma Washo was first across the line for the Lady Meteors in 11th place.
Top local runners were: Katie Bennett (EL) 19:28, Kenzie Jones (EL) 19:34, Justine Johns (EL) 19:37, Keri Jones (EL) 20:03, Emma Washo (MON) 20:52, Casey Purdum (BR) 21:06.
At Lakeland, Ivy Christensen was the top finisher for the Sabers (22:19), followed by Mikayla Hargett (22:27).
At Forest City’s 3.1-mile course at Kennedy Park, Jennifer Korty took third in 22:26.
At Valley View’s 3.1-mile course on Tuesday, Oct. 14, Warrior Dan Bell finished fourth to lead Elk Lake to two wins over Abington Heights and Valley View. The Warriors sustained a loss to North Pocono.
Montrose’s Owen Brewer finished in eighth place, but the Meteors dropped three.
Top local runners were: Dan Bell (EL) 17:06, Owen Brewer (MON) 17:16, Dakota Oswald (EL) 17:23, Hunter Bedell (EL) 17:36, Hunter Watkins (EL) 17:48.
At Forest City’s Kennedy Park, Tyler Debrino led the Foresters with a seventh place finish.
Other top Forest City runners were: Josh Korty (FC) 20:30, Will Westgate (FC) 21:07.
