STAFF PHOTO/KEVIN WOODRUFFThe Mountain View Eagle baseball team was eliminated from District II Class AA contention with a 16-6 home loss to Dunmore on Friday after moving ahead on Wednesday taking down West Side Career and Technology Center, 5-3, in Kingsley.
Facing Dunmore, The Eagles scored five runs in the first inning to grab an early 5-1 lead, but Dunmore chipped away with a run in the third, four in the fourth, seven in the fifth and three in the sixth while the Eagles plated another runner in the fourth.
Julian Williams had a pair of doubles and finished with three hits and three RBIs while Dylan Thomas added a double and finished with two hits and a run scored.

striking out seven in four innings.
On Wednesday, Nate Goodenough and Greg Adams each singled and drove in two runs to lead the Eagles.
Trailing 3-2 in the fifth inning, Mountain View rallied for three runs to advance to Friday’s quarterfinal against Dunmore.
Dustin Compton earned the win in relief for the Eagles by tossing three scoreless innings.
Starting pitcher D.Thomas gave up five hits, two earned runs and six walks while accumulating 10 strikeouts in four innings.
Colby Thomas tripled for the Eagles and scored a pair of runs in the victory.
