At a meet held in Honesdale on Tuesday,Blue Ridge’s boys’ cross country team swept the field of competitors whileElkLake’s girls’ team remained undefeated at 15-0 on the year.
AmongBlue Ridge’s victories was one againstElkLake’s boys, 25-30, while also taking wins over Honesdale,Western Wayne, Montrose,CarbondaleandForestCity.
Although the Warrior boys faced a loss on the day, Elk Lake’s Luke Jones came in first overall at 18:28, with teammate Will Bennett finishing second overall.
Blue Ridge’s first finisher was Jake Hinkley in third at18:59, while Raider teammate Mike Robbs took fourth at19:21.
Elk Lake’s girls’ team topped Honesdale, Blue Ridge, Carbondale, Montrose, Western Wayne and Forest City while Maria Trowbridge took second place overall at 21:38, as Honesdale’s Summer Hill took first at 20:51.
Also helpingElkLake’s cause was Kirsten Hollister in third at21:48and Jenny VanEtten in fourth at21:57.
Montrose’s girls took victories overBlue Ridge,CarbondaleandForestCityas Samantha Bennici placed seventh at23:13and Allison Lewis took 15th at 24:10.
Blue Ridge’s Casey Purdum took ninth at23:25while teammate Lauren Whitney placed 12th at23:39.

Mountain View, Susquehanna
On Tuesday, Susquehanna’s girls’ girls’ cross country team went 5-1 on the day while the Saber boys picked up a 15-50 victory overMountain View.
The Lady Sabers defeatedMt.View(15-50),Lakeland(15-50), Lackawanna Trail (15-50),West Scranton(15-50) andScranton(22-33) while losing to Mid Valley (23-37).
Susquehanna’s boys lost to Mid Valley (18-45),Lakeland(20-39), Lackawanna Trail (20-41),Scranton(20-41) andWest Scranton(21-37).
The Mountain View boys’ and girls’ teams lost 15-50 to West Scranton, Mid Valley, Lakeland, Susquehanna and Lackawanna Trail.
Coming in tops for the Saber girls was Ivy Christiansen in third at22:10, followed by Mikayla Hargett in seventh at 24:11.
For the Lady Eagles, Kelly Purdy placed sixth at23:04.
On the boys’ side, Susquehanna’s Brandon Soden placed sixth to top for the Sabers at18:41.
