Lady Raiders top Mt. View

The Blue Ridge girls’ volleyball team handed Mountain Viewa 3-1 loss in a match at New Milford on Thursday night.

Ashley Warren had 24 assists, one ace and four kills and Kaylee Ragard had 13 digs, 11 kills, two blocks and one ace to lead the Raiders.

Shannon O’Neill had 10 digs and three kills and Allison Coller added three blocks, six kills, eight digs and two aces forBlue Ridge.

Leading MountainView was Dominique Chadwick who had five kills, while Angel Kester had four kills and Kerri Jarnagin had nine assists and four aces for the Eagles.

Blue Ridged owned the Eagles 25-22, 25-23, 23-25 and 25-20 to improved its record to 4-1 in Lackawanna League Division II and 4-6 overall. Mountain View is 3-2 in the league and 5-5 overall.

Mountain View

The Mountain View girls’ volleyball team grabbed a 3-0 shutout victory overForestCityon the road on Tuesday evening.

The Lady Eagles picked up three consecutive victories, 25-19, 25-17 and 25-11, to defeat the Foresters in Lackawanna League action.

Angel Kester had four kills and Dominique Chadwick had six kills to leadMountain Viewwhile Mikaela Phillips had three kills and two aces and Kerri Jarnagin had eight assists and five aces.

ForForestCity, Samantha Kuriger had five points, two aces, five kills, six blocks and five digs, Courtney Andrews had six points, two aces, two assists, two blocks and 10 digs and Rachel DeLucy had nine points, two assists and five digs.

Susquehanna

Susquehanna’s girls’ volleyball team faced a 3-2 loss from Lackawanna Trail at a match on Lion territory on Tuesday evening.

The Sabers got ahead first with a 25-21 win in the first set, before the Lady Lions would win two sets, 25-19 and 25-4. However, Susquehanna took a 26-24 win in the fourth set to make it 2-2.

Lackawanna Trail then came out to defeat the Sabers 15-9 in the fifth set to take the victory.

Mary Kemmerer led Susquehanna with four kills and seven blocks while Devin Breese had nine points, one ace, nine digs and two kills and Danielle Barnes had five points, one ace, nine assists and two kills.

Blue Ridge

TheBlue Ridge girls’ volleyball team was handed a 3-0 loss fromWestern Wayne on the road on Tuesday evening.

The Lady Wildcats defeated Blue Ridge in three consecutive sets, 26-24, 25-21 and 25-19 to down the Raiders.

Ashley Warren ledBlue Ridgewith seven assists, one ace and two kills, Kristin Brown had five kills, four digs and three aces while Kailey Ragard added three kills and one ace.

Elk Lake

The Elk Lake girls’ volleyball team picked up a 3-0 victory over Montrose after the team traveled to Abington Heights on Tuesday where the Warriors were handed a 3-0 loss from the Comets.

Against Montrose, Katie VanEtten had four kills, eight assists and eight digs and Susanne Tewksbury had one kills, eight assists, three digs and one ace to lead the Warriors.

Michaela Boner had five kills and two aces and Carley Bennett had eight kills, five digs, three aces and one block forElkLake.

Leading Montrose was Brooke Malloy with five kills, six digs and one ace. Dallas Ely had three kills and eight digs, Miranda Dunne had seven assists, five digs and two aces and Ally Stocks had five assists for the Meteors.

On Tuesday,ElkLakewas defeated in three straight sets by the Comets 25-18, 25-12 and 25-15 to take its eighth loss of the season.

Bennett had five kills, VanEtten had two kills, five assists and three digs andTewksburyhad one kill, six assists and three digs for the Lady Warriors.

Montrose

The Montrose Area girls’ volleyball team was handed a 3-0 loss atDunmoreon Tuesday evening.

Montrose went out to face three straight set losses, 25-12, 25-17 and 25-11, from the Bucks to bring their record to 1-7 on the season.

Dallas Ely had four kills, eight digs and two aces for the Meteors while Katie Volk added three kills, one ace and one block.

Forest City

Forest City’s girls’ volleyball team was handed a loss on the road atDunmoreon Thursday, 3-0.

The Foresters were set down in three consecutive sets, 25-7, 25-8 and 25-14.

Courtney Andrews had two kills, two blocks, five assists and eight digs and Samantha Kuriger had three kills, four blocks and five digs for the Foresters.
