The Montrose Area boys’ tennis team took a 4-1 victory over Western Wayne on the road Thursday after grabbing a 3-2 victory over Mid Valley at home on Tuesday evening.
Facing Western Wayne, Mike Roman, Brian Schultz and Chris Jordan won their singles matches to lead the Meteors.
Singles: Mike Roman (M) over Denny Guo, 7-5, 2-6, 6-3; Brian Schultz (M) over Jake Covey, 6-1, 7-6(2); Chris Jordan (M) over Jonathan Reed, 6-2, 6-1.
Doubles: Isaac Mitchell-Sean Regan (M) over Jake Silfes-Louie Victorio, 6-2, 6-0; Kade Koheffer-John Kline (WW) over Hunter Williams-Zack Meyer, 6-2, 6-7 (5), 11-9.
On Tuesday, Schultz and Jordan won their singles matches to lead the Meteors in the Division II win.
Singles: Bryan Holod (MV) over Mike Roman, 6-3, 6-2; Brian Schultz (M) over Corey Verespy, 6-1, 7-6 (3); Chris Jordan (M) over Nick Michini, 2-6, 6-1, 6-3.
Doubles: Isaac Mitchell-Sean Regan (M) over Zach Spears-Zach Zagursky, 6-0, 6-2; Drew Phillips-Jeff Kline (MV) over Hunter Williams-Zach Meyer, 6-2, 6-2.
