The Forest City boys’ volleyball team faced a 3-0 loss toWestern Wayneat home on Thursday night after the team grabbed a 3-1 victory overElkLakeat home on Tuesday evening.
FacingWestern Wayne, The Foresters went down in order as the Wildcats defeated them 25-20, 25-23 and 25-17.
Leading the way for the Foresters were Dylan Walsh with eight service points and six blocks and Logan McHale with eight blocks.
On Tuesday, David Cavalieri had 15 kills and Walsh added 10 kills and four blocks to leadForestCityas they overcame an 0-1 deficit to win three straight 25-23, 25-18 and 32-30 to take the win.
Ryan Long and McHale each had 15 assists for the Foresters.
Aric Curry ledElkLakewith nine kills, 14 digs and three blocks while Dan Noldy had eight kills, 14 digs and six blocks.
Elk Lake
TheElkLakeboys’ volleyball team picked up a 3-2 victory overBlue Ridgein a match at home on Friday.
The Warriors fell behind early withBlue Ridgetaking a 1-0 lead after the first set. However, the Warriors won two straight sets, 25-21 and 25-19, to take a 2-1 lead over the Raiders.
Blue Ridgethen tied up the match with a 25-10 victory in the fourth set, before the Warriors would take the win with a 15-13 win in the final set.
Aric Curry had 14 kills, 10 digs and five blocks andMelvin Routehad 10 kills, eight digs and 20 points to lead the Warriors. Jared Berg added 20 assists, 16 digs, four kills and seven blocks.
Blue Ridgewas paced by Tama Galu-Edgar and Mike Gathany with seven kills apiece.

TheBlue Ridgeboys’ volleyball team was handed a 3-0 loss fromAbingtonHeightson the road on Tuesday night.
Blue Ridgelost three consecutive games to the Comets, 25-20, 25-17 and 25-13 to take the loss.

The Susquehanna boys’ volleyball team took a 3-0 loss on Thursday night at Lackawanna Trail after they opened up the season on the road on Tuesday night with a 3-0 loss toWestern Wayne.
Facing Trail, the Lions took a 25-5 victory in the first game, before defeated the Sabers 25-8 in the second game and capping off the victory with a 25-8 win in the third.
Cody Dibble led the Sabers with 15 digs on the night.
On Tuesday, the Sabers fell to the Wildcats in three consecutive games, asWestern Waynewon 25-17, 25-21 and 25-14.
Luke Falletta led Susquehanna with four kills and four blocks while Steven Frye had four blocks, five points and three aces. Rex Fullam added seven points and two aces for the Saber team.
Mountain View
Mountain View’s boys’ volleyball team faced a 3-1 loss toAbingtonHeightsat home on Thursday night after the team opened the season at home on Tuesday, losing to Lackawanna Trail, 3-0.
Against Abington, the Eagles lost the first set 25-23, before falling 0-2 with a 25-21 loss in the second.
Mountain Viewthen bounced back with a 25-21 win in the third set, but faced defeated when Abington downed them 26-24 in the fourth.
Brad Owens ledMountain Viewwith 14 kills and 13 digs while Nathan Moyer had 21 assists and two kills and Jake Heller had six kills and three blocks.
On Tuesday, the Eagles fell behind after the Lions took the first game 25-20, and then were finished off as Trail defeated them 25-10 and 25-5 in the second and third games.
Owens ledMountain Viewwith seven kills, seven digs and two blocks while Moyer had eight assists.
