Man charged for failing to comply with Megan’s Law

ALawtonman has been charged with failing to comply with Megan’s Law registration requirements.

Kevin Lewis, 30, waived his preliminary hearing Monday in Montrose District Court in front of District Judge Jeffrey Hollister.

Lewis was charged by Tpr. John Oliver with a felony count of failure to comply with registration of sexual offenders requirements.

According to the affidavit, Lewis moved from a residence at 4984 SR 706, Montrose to aLawtonarea apartment located on SR 267 on March 12.

Lewis had completed a sexual offender registration form on Feb. 7, police said, listing the Rt. 706, Montrose address.

According to the affidavit, on the registration form signed by Lewis is a warning that he must notify state police within 48 hours of an address change.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in Susquehanna County Court on May 22. Lewis is free on unsecured bail.
