Lady Meteors shut out Western Wayne

The Montrose Area softball team picked up a 10-0 victory overWestern Wayneat home on Thursday in five innings.

Montrose came out to score seven runs in the second inning and added two more in the fourth and one in the fifth to cap the mercy-rule victory over the Wildcats.

Lacy Neely gave up just two hits and no walks while striking out four in five innings on the mound.

Dallas Ely had two hits, including a triple, and four RBIs to lead Montrose.

Katie Groover had two doubles and two RBIs for Montrose Area.

Elk Lake

TheElkLakesoftball team grabbed a 20-2 victory overForestCityon the road on Thursday afternoon.

The Warriors scored 11 runs in the first inning, one more in the second, a pair in the third and six in the fourth to end the game on the mercy rule after four innings.

Sara Kwiatkowski had three hits and four RBIs and Paige Parkhurst and Lindsey Dudock each had three hits.

Debbie Harvey took the pitching win giving up three hits, one earned run and no walks while striking out three.

ForestCitywas led by Jade Kull, who knocked a triple while Katie Zerby took the pitching loss giving up three hits, four earned runs and four walks in one-third inning in the circle.

Blue Ridge

Blue Ridge’s Lady Raider softball team took a 4-1 victory over Susquehanna on the road on Thursday.

The Sabers scored a run in the third but three runs fromBlue Ridgein the fifth and an insurance run in the seventh sealed the victory.

Jenna Rupakus had three hits, cindluing a double, and drove in a pair of runs.

Jackie Furch took the pitching victory giving up three hits, no earned runs and three walks while striking out nine in seven innings.

Susquehanna was led by a double and an RBI from Ashley Sweeney while Micaela Rhone took the pitching loss giving up six hits, one earned run and seven walks while striking out 13.

Susquehanna

The Susquehanna softball team was handed a 7-0 loss from Lackawanna Trail at home on Wednesday.

The Lions scored early with a run in the first and two more in the third to hold an early 3-0 lead.

Trail then tacked on two more runs in the fifth and two more in the seventh to take the shutout win.

The Sabers were led by Ashley Sweeney with a pair of hits while Danielle Barnes, Nicole Barnes and Mashawna Hargett each had a hit.

Micaela Rhone took the pitching loss giving up 10 hits, three earned runs and four walks while striking out five.

Mountain View

TheMountain Viewsoftball team faced a 16-6 loss from Lackawanna Trail at home on Thursday evening.

The Eagles fell behind 7-0 after the first two innings, and despite putting six runs on the board, fell prey to the Lion offense.

Mountain Viewwas led by Jenny Molenko who had two hits, two runs scored and an RBI while Mercedes Kromko had one hit, a run scored and two RBIs.

Caitlin Tague took the pitching loss giving up 19 hits, 15 earned runs and six walks while striking out eight in seven innings.
