The FMS Generals Senior American Legion baseball team grabbed a 6-5 victory over Montrose on the road Saturday after the team took a 2-1 victory over Montrose at Lackawanna Trail on Tuesday night.
On Saturday, Mike Wakalowski, Matt Heller and Thor Banks all drove in runs to lead the Generals.
Owen Flanery took the pitching victory giving up 13 hits and four earned runs while striking out five in six-and-a-third innings.
For Montrose, Anthony Bartok had three hits, including a homer and Dale Harder had three hits, including two doubles, to lead Montrose in the loss,
On Tuesday, Montrose scored one run in the top of the first, but FMS pitcher Wakalowski held them scoreless from there as he tossed a complete game with seven strikeouts and just four hits to lead the way.
FMS would only need a pair of runs to top Montrose as Jimmy O’Brien had a pair of singles and Banks singled and doubled to lead the Generals offense.
For Montrose, Harder doubled while Mike Hackett, Justin Hartman and Bartok each singled.
Bartok was the losing pitcher, giving up four hits, one earned run and five walks while striking out seven in a complete game outing.
