The theme of this year’s KLR 4th of July celebration in Montrose was “Our Future Leaders”
Parade entries were judged based on how well they executed the theme and winners were announced on the Green following the parade.
1st place – Grand Marshal’s Trophy:SouthMontroseCommunityChurch- $200
2nd place: Harford Volunteer Fire Company – $150
3rd place (tie): Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania – $75; and Bridgewater Baptist Church- $75
5th place: Montrose Meteors Football Team – $50
6th place: OldMillVillage- $50
The annual Ted Brzuska Memorial Award of $100 presented by the Montrose Kiwanis Club went toSt. Paul’s Music Camp.
