The Demolition Derby will end the Harford Fair with a bang on Saturday night, starting at 7 p.m.
The Harford Fair, starting Aug. 21, will feature many sporting related activities for patrons of the fair to enjoy.
On opening day, Sunday, Aug. 20, there will be a 4-H Livestock Skill-a-Thon in the cattle arena, at6 p.m., where 4-H’ers will show off their cattle handling skills.
Monday will feature a horse pulling contest, sponsored by Hinds Heating and Cooling/Felix-Hinds Propane at9 a.m.
Following the pull, there will be a draft horse and pony show at the Horse Arena sponsored by Wilcox’s General Services at10 a.m.
There will also be a truck pull at the main arena at7 p.m.on Monday as semis, modifieds and pickups battle it out to see who’s got the toughest wheels.
The second annual Harford Championship ProRodeo will play out in the main arena on Friday starting at 7:30 p.m.
The action starts early on Tuesday morning at10 a.m.as the farm tractor pull will commence kicking up dust at the fair’s main arena.
A hot tractor pull will take place at7 p.m.on Tuesday, as modified tractors battle in the main arena. The event is sanctioned by Interstate Tractor.
That event will be followed by a non-sanctioned tractor pull, featuring 10,500 pound machines at the main arena.
On Wednesday, there will be a “Ball of Steel” freestyle motocross stunt show at the main arena from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Seating is free.
On Thursday, there will be a Kiddy Tractor Pull for children ages four through seven taking place at the main arena at 10 a.m. It is sponsored by VanCott’s Nursery and Landscaping.
There will then be a horse barrel show at the horse arena at6 p.m., where riders will show off the skill of their equine.
The “Ball of Steel” motorcycle freestyle stunt show will take place at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. in the main arena on Wednesday.
On Friday, there will be a woodsmen’s contest in the main arena starting at9 a.m., sponsored by Wyalusing Livestock Market, where locals will battle to see who has the best skills.
That evening, the third annual Harford Championship Pro Rodeo will headline the main arena, with action starting at7:30 p.m.sponsored by Cabot Oil and Gas Corporation.
On Saturday, the day will begin with a Zero-Turn tractor challenge in the main arena sponsored by Matthews Planet Preowned and the Endless Mountain Antique Power Association. It is followed by a turkey calling contest at11 a.m.at the shade pavilion. That contest is sponsored by Cosmello’s U-Pull-It.
To end the fair with a bang will be the Jackpot Demolition Derby at the Main Arena, starting at7 p.m.where locals will face off for cash and glory.
