Mt View girls in title hunt

The Mountain View girls’ soccer team, under head coach Errol Mannick, look to defend a Lackawanna League Division II and District II Class A championship.

Mountain Viewended the season with a 14-1 record with a loss in the state playoffs.

The team returns several starters in junior forward Jenny Molenko, junior forward Megan Getz, senior midfielder Steph Virbitsky, senior defender Dedra Congdon, senior defender Vic Sterling and senior goalie Caity Tague.

Other returners to the team include Morgan Zrowka, Sr., Fwd.; Caroline Miller, Sr. Def.; Cheyenne Pfahl, Jr., Mid./Def.; Jaye Winemiller, Jr., Fwd./Mid.; Ali Virbitsky, So., Fwd./Mid.; Makenna Whitaker, So., Mid.

Some newcomers to the team is season include Beronica Robbins, Sr., Fwd.; Laura Moser, Sr., Def.; Rebecca Perkins, Jr., Def.; Jen Yeo, Jr., Def.; Arianna Gabriel, So., Mid.; Hannah Richner, Fr., Mid./Fwd.; Steph Ostir, Fr., Def.; Ali Showalter, Fr., Def.; Karlee Weida, Fr., Def.; Lexi Wansacz, Fr., Def.; Hannah Phillips, Fr., Def/GK.
