Raider boys run past Trail

The Blue Ridge boys’ track and field team traveled to Lackawanna Trail on Tuesday where the Raiders picked up a 79-70 win over Lackawanna Trail.

Sean Stanley won the 100, long and triple jump to lead the boys’ team while Jake Hinkley won the 1600 and 3200 for the Raiders.

On the girls’ side, Blue Ridgefaced a 78-56 loss to the Lions while Katherine Kempa won the 100 dash and Casey Purdum won the high jump.

The Montrose Area boys’ track and field team took a win overWestern Wayneat home on Tuesday afternoon.

The Meteors were paced by Kurt Kimsey as he won the discus and javelin to help the boys’ team to a 102-44 win.

Montrose’s girls’ team took a 99-41 loss with Sam Bennici winning the 800 and 1600.

Mountain View’s boys’ and girls’ track and field teams grabbed wins at home on Tuesday over Susquehanna.

The boys’ team, paced by wins in the long, triple and high jumps from Noah Marsh, took an 87-55 victory over the Sabers.

On the girls’ side, Dominique Chadwick won the long jump, triple jump and pole vault to help the Eagles to a 94-51 win.

The boys’ team was led by wins in the 800 and 1600 from Will Bennett as the Warriors took a 96-54 win.

On the girls’ side, Meghan Bush won both the shot put and discus to help the Warriors to a 94-51 win over the Chargers.
