Roger E. Whitaker, Sr., 92, of Harford, died suddenly on November 11, 2025 at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, the former Mary A. Donnelly who died on November 16, 2022.
Born April 10, 1933 in Glen Ridge, NJ, he was the son of the late Kenneth H. Tiffany and the
late Thelma Irene Hendry Whitaker. He was the step son of the late John M. Whitaker. He is survived by his three children: Mary Godfrey and husband, Doug, Roger Whitaker and wife, Maureen, and Ron Whitaker and wife, Della; nine grandchildren: Erin Maloney and Brian, Meghan Ford and Ben, Douglas Godfrey and Angelika, Daniel Godfrey and Chelsea; Colleen
Whitaker, Sean Whitaker and Shea, Kelsey Whitaker and Tim, Mickey Whitaker, Makenna
Whitaker; twelve great-grandchildren: Mary, Robert, Adelaide, William, Emily, John, Fae, Carson, Elizabeth, Madelyn, Maeve and Caden; two brothers: Richard Tiffany and Jim Charles
Tiffany; two sisters: Barbara Cooper and Mary Margaret Clayton; and several nieces and
nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Robert Tiffany and Jack Whitaker; and one
sister: Regina Tiffany.
A Mass of Christian Burial for both Roger and Mary will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 at
10 a.m. from St. Pius X Church, 3615 State Route 106, Clifford Township. Interment will follow in the Peck Cemetery, Harford. All those attending the Mass should go directly to the church on Saturday.
