Susquehanna Community’s Norris hits Spagna gold

The Binghamton University-bound senior defended her 100 and 200-meter titles with a time of 12.23 seconds in the 100-meter and 25.52 in the 200. Norris noted that participating in four events hurt her 100 and 200-meter times.
Norris added a win in her new event the long jump clearing 17 feet 5¼ inches and set a personal best in the pole vault when she cleared 12 feet.

Former Susquehanna County Register/Recorder receives probation in check scandal

Michelle Estabrook, 59, New Milford, entered a guilty plea on May 9 to aiding the consummation of a crime and was sentenced by Judge Jennifer Harlacher Sibum that day.
The Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General filed the charge against Estabrook following an investigation into $12,000 in payments made from Register/Recorder department funds to her daughter for help with the office’s bookkeeping. Estabrook paid her daughter $1,000 per month, for a total of $12,000.
