The Elk Lake girls’ varsity tennis team took a 3-2 loss to Mid Valley at home on Thursday and a 4-1 victory over Dunmore on the road on Wednesday.
Facing Mid Valley in singles, Cindy Good (EL) beat Julie May, 6-1, 6-0; Hunter Cole (EL) defeated Marsha Troiani, 6-1, 7-5; and Jessie Brudnicki (MV) over Lindsey Shingler, 7-5, 3-6, 6-2.
In doubles, Heidi Yanoski-Delaney Reynolds (MV) over Kileen Sisson-Lydia Watkins, 6-4, 6-1; Kari Urhanowski-Danielle Maro (MV) over Megan Phillips-Leanna Noble, 6-7 (8), 6-0, 6-1.
Against Dunmore in singles action Good (EL)_ defeated Ashley Zona, 5-7, 7-5, 6-3; Cole (EL) downed Sam Kreis, 6-0, 6-3; and Shingler (EL) defeated Maria Lawrence, 6-0, 6-1.
In doubles, Watkins-Sisson (EL) beat Chrissy Cuddey-Abbey Aronica, 6-0,. 6-0; and Jennifer Comstock-Brittany Schlesser (DUN) defeated Phillips-O’Dell, 7-5, 6-4.
