Martin “Marty” J. Truskolaski

Martin “Marty” J. Truskolaski, age 66, passed away unexpectedly on November 12th, 2025. Marty was predeceased by his parents, Paul W. and S. Jane Truskolaski, and his sister, Wendy (Truskolaski) Cobb. He is survived by his brother, Rickey P., and his wife, Judy (Schell) Truskolaski; his sister, Cindy (Truskolaski) Visser; his three children and their families: Tara (Truskolaski) Kelly and her husband, Brian Kelly, and their children, Maxx and Josey; Paul F. Truskolaski and his wife, Stephanie (Cantner) Truskolaski, and their children, Kaylee Landry, James, Bradley, and Emma; and Joseph Truskolaski and his wife, Meghan (Gilleran) Truskolaski, and their children, Ellie and Paige. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Born on January 15th, 1959, in Susquehanna, PA, he grew into a tough, hardworking man who faced more than his fair share of struggles but never stopped pushing forward. His grit, resilience, and determination defined much of his life, and those qualities shaped the family he raised and loved with all his heart.
From an early age, Marty had a natural talent for anything with an engine. If it had four wheels—or sometimes three—he could fix it, tune it, or find a way to make it run better. Cars, trucks, and the old beat-up machines he loved bringing back to life were more than hobbies for him; they were his escape, his pride, and often his way of showing love. Many of his best days were spent under the hood or in the driveway, turning wrenches and passing down the kind of practical knowledge that stays with you for a lifetime.
He took pride in being a father to his three children—Tara, Paul, and Joseph. He wasn’t someone who easily showed love outwardly, but everyone who knew him understood how deeply he cared. His loyalty and devotion were always there, even if they didn’t come through in the traditional ways. Although life didn’t unfold the way either of them expected, his ex-wife and the mother of his children, Dawn, always held a special place in his heart.
In the later years of his life, a softer side of him began to shine through. He opened up more, shared a bit more of himself, and let his family see the warmth and love he had carried all along. We treasure those moments and only wish we had more time with him.
We take comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain and that his struggles are finally behind him. His absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but his strength, lessons, and love will remain with us forever. He will be deeply missed by his children, his family, and all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a memorial fund established for the grandchildren’s education. Contributions can be sent to Paul Truskolaski at 4 Thayer Drive, Malvern PA 19355. Rest easy, Dad. We love you.

  5. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Unfortunately I do not know his children but I feel their loss even though it has been almost 40 years since I saw Marty. A large part of my teenage years were spent with him. And there a lot of good memories that come to mind. I hope he was at peace in his life he was a special person.
