Arthur W. Bolles, 88, of Hallstead, PA departed to be with Jesus on January 16, 2026. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marian; his four children, Wanda (Robert) Lagermasini, Thomas (Lynn) Bolles, Deborah (Donald) O’Dell, and Susan (Gregory) Reed; 18 grandchildren, Shannon, Robert Jr., and Jared, Adam, Jacob, Nicholas, Miranda, and Sarah, Kyle, Brandon, Derek, Ryan, Sierra, and Benjamin, Megan, Andrea, Ashley, and Joshua; 30 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was predeceased by his daughter, Cheryl; by a grandson, Jason; and by his parents, Arthur and Emily Bolles.
Art graduated from Montrose High School in 1955. He joined the US Marine Corps. Art married the love of his life in 1956 and Marian joined him on the base. He returned to the farm in 1958 and went to work milking cows and farming. April 15, 2001 the cows were sold and he earned his blasting license. He went to work for his son and enjoyed hours “blowing things up.” He finally retired at 83 and continued telling stories, as only he could. In his younger years, Art was an active member of Bridgewater Church and recently attended Stanfordville Baptist Church. His entire life was driven by his strong faith and devotion to living for Jesus Christ. Art was a remarkable man, the Patriarch of the family, and already dearly missed.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m., Monday, January 26, 2026 at the Stanfordville Baptist Church, 23456 SR 29, Hallstead, PA 18822. Private interment will be made in Franklin Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. at the church, prior to the service. Arrangements entrusted to the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, PA. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to the church and have a few chicken wings, chips, Hershey Kisses, and Dr. Pepper in his memory.
