Montrose golf off to 4-0 start

The Montrose Area golf team took a 9-0 victory overBlue Ridgeat Conklin Players Club on Saturday and an 8-1 victory over Lackawanna Trail at the Montrose Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.

At Blue Ridge in individual play, Jordan Smith over Andrew Burdick, 3 and 2; Corey Morrison over Dwayne Consla, 5 and 4; Lance Nealy over Mike Gahtany, 1-up; Cameron Dean over Vinnie Matta, 5 and 4; Casey O’Reilly over Austin French, 5 and 4; Mason Legg over Troy Hillard, 4 and 3.

In better-ball, Smith-Morrison over Burdick-Consla, 5 and 4; Nealy-Dean over Gathany-Matta, 3 and 2; O’Reilly-Legg over French-Hillard, 5 and 4.

Against Honesdale in individual play, Mike Kussoff over Sean McCormick, 5 and 4; Alex Sandercock over Katie Zefran, 1-up; Dillon Gavin over Seth Thomas, 3 and 2; Owen Walsh over Vince DeLucy, 3 and 2; Bridget Simons over Tyler Butler, 3 and 1; Tim Corcoran over Nick Luchonok, 5 and 4.

The Elk Lake golf team was handed an 8.5-.5 loss by Wallenpaupack at Tall Pines on Thursday.
