City wins ‘Dream Game’

The City All-Stars picked up a victory over the County team at the 76th annual Scranton Lions Club ‘Dream Game’ at Scranton Memorial Stadium last Wednesday evening.
Montrose coach Jack Keihl was at the helm, coaching the City stars to the victory that featured a powerful ground game.
Although the County team got on the board first with a completed pass into the end zone, it was all City from then on, as the team had four rushing touchdowns and two completed field goals to round out the 34-point total.
Rob Volk, a 2010 graduate was the City quarterback in the contest, and threw one completion in eight attempts while giving up one interception and tallying nine passing yards.
The City team also featured Montrose offensive lineman/defensive end Bryan Castrogiovanni and running back Dalton Smith along with Susquehanna tight end/defensive end Chris Kimble.
The rest of the team was comprised of players from Delaware Valley, Dunmore, Holy Cross, North Pocono, Scranton, Scranton Prep, Wallenpaupack and West Scranton.
The City squad was coached by Lakeland’s Jeff Wasilchak and comprised of players from Abington Heights, Carbondale, Honesdale, Lackawanna Trail, Lakeland, Mid Valley, Old Forge, Riverside, Valley View and Western Wayne.
