Elk Lake’s boys’ and girls’ swimming and diving teams split a pair of meets at Scranton on Tuesday as the girls’ team took a win, while the Warrior boys suffered a loss.
The Elk Lake girls grabbed a 106-63 victory over the Knights, while the boys were handed a 100-75 loss.
Abby Zdancewicz won the 200 free and 100 breaststroke as the Warriors took first in 10 events. Adam Phillips won the 200 free and 100 fly to lead the boys’ team.
First place finishes on the girls’ side came from the 200 medley relay tema of Rina Nikolaidis, Abby Zdancewicz, Chelsea Karabin and Emmie Gibson in 2:04.84, Zdancewicz in the 200 free at 2:09.91 and 100 breast at 1:20.75, Karabin in the 50 free at :25.22, Heather Wimmer in diving at 132.55 and the 500 free at 6:59.89, Nikolaidis in the 100 free at 1:03.64, the 200 free relay team of Nikolaidis, Gibson, Rachel Grosvenor and Karabin in 1:50.98, Anna Hammernick in the 100 back at 1:24.83 and the 400 free relay team of Nikolaidis, Bri Hollenbeck, Abby Zdancewicz and Karabin in 4:18.81.
Seconds were recorded by Hammernick (200 IM), Gibson (50 and 100 free), Julia Amorino (diving), Grosvenor (100 fly) and Hollenbeck (100 back).
Thirds came from Grosvenor (200 free), Hollenbeck (200 IM) and the 400 free relay team.
On the boys’ side, firsts came from Adam Phillips in the 200 free at 1:52.81 and 100 fly at :59.08, Dylan Simmons in diving with 182.95 points and the 400 free relay team of Cody Mowry, Brad Grosvenor, Jon Krieg and Phillips in 3:45.27.
Seconds were recorded by the 200 medley relay team, Krieg (50 free), Mowry (100 free), Codie Malloy (500 free) and the 200 free relay team.
Thirds came from the 200 medley relay team, Hoban (EL), Grosvenor (200 IM), Alex Manzek (50 free), Grosvenor (100 fly), Mowry (100 back) and Chris Jordan (100 breast).
