Graduating seniors Corey Kleiner, Ben Hepler, Katie Grubb, Tiffany Spencer, Jessica Derrick and Steve Ely led the student effort and prepared the lay down timber to be used as a retaining wall for the landscaping project.

The last day of class for Blue Ridge seniors usually begins with a procession of horn-blowing, happy soon-to-be grads traveling in a line of cars from New Milford to Great Bend and back again.

But the Class of 2011 opted to try something a bit different. On the seniors’ final day, the entire class worked on a landscaping project on a hard-to-mow bank at the high school entrance. Graduating seniors Corey Kleiner, Ben Hepler, Katie Grubb, Tiffany Spencer, Jessica Derrick and Steve Ely led the student effort and prepared to lay down timber to be used as a retaining wall for the project. When complete, the bank will be filled with plantings surrounded by Raider Red gravel.
