Snee, Marsh get probation in bar fight

BY STACI WILSON

Daniel Snee and Dana Marsh entered guilty pleas to simple assault charges Tuesday and both men received probationary sentences.

Aggravated assault charges initially lodged against Snee, 25, Hallstead, and Marsh, 24, South Montrose, in connection with a Sept. 11 fight outside a Bridgewater Twp. bar were dismissed by the court in May.

Both men were sentenced to 15 months probation with Judge Kenneth Seamans adding an 11 p.m. curfew onto the sentences.

Snee and Marsh were also ordered to share the $1200 cost incurred by the Commonwealth during a grand jury investigation into the matter.

In court, both men took responsibility for their part in the fight that sent two men to the hospital for treatment.

Snee said expressed remorse for the incident saying, “I wish I never went out that night. I’m sorry for any injuries sustained by (the two victims.)

Snee’s attorney Paul Ackourey said his client was not only a federal corrections officer, but also was a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard and expects to deploy later this year.

The judge will allow for Snee to check in with probation via telephone or other communication devices if he does deploy.
