Police have identified a suspect in the Friday robbery of Pennstar Bank in Susquehanna. The robbery occurred just after noon on Aug. 19.

An arrest warrant on robbery and theft charges has been issued for Jon Alan Dockens, 29, formerly of the Susquehanna area but police say his current address is not known. According to police, Dockens also has ties to the Allentown area.

Dockens is described as a white male, 5’8”, 180 lbs., with black hair and a beard and mustache. He also has a tattoo on the right side of his neck.

At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a dark colored, hooded sweatshirt and baggy jeans.

Police reported Dockens handed a note to the bank teller which read: “I got a gun keep your hands where I can see them, $10,000 in 10 seconds or I’ll shoot someone.”

The teller handed the man an undisclosed amount of money and left the bank.

Police believe he was in a 2001-02 maroon Subaru station wagon.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police, Gibson, at 465-3154.
