The First Congregational, United Church of Christ of Harford saw the  ordination of its pastor, William R. Hagenbugh, on Saturday.

Pastor Will has been serving the church since 2008.
The son of Dorothy Hagenbugh and the late William (Butch) Hagenbugh, Will is a native of Harford Township and graduated from Mt. View High School. As he worked his way to the ministry, Will attended Grove City College and  Boston University where he received a Masters degree in Divinity
The service included readings by Brandy Lindsey, Julie Kesten, Betty Lou Bennett and Lisa Hahn and speeches by Christopher Guly; Will’s brother Robert; his sister Donna Frankel.

United Churchof Christ Penn Northeast Conference Minister Alan Milleralso was in attendance.
Following the ordination service, Miller gave the blessing and formerFirstChurch pastor the Rev David Schnaars gave the benediction. Also attending was former pastor Warren Bates.

The ordination service was very much a family affair with Will’s Aunt June Betz serving as organist; his Uncle Raymond Betz giving the blessing before the meal and his much loved nieces and nephews, Amanda, Adam, Wendy and Mia (known as “The Frankel Fab Four”) were ushers.
