Guns, drugs recovered by police

State police seized stolen guns and heroin from a Gibson Twp. home Nov. 7 while executing a search warrant.

Police obtained the warrant after receiving information that stolen firearms were present in the 8181 Rt. 92, Gibson residence of Michael Argust, 29, South Gibson.

In the search, police recovered 21 long guns, along with a 52-inch television all taken in a Nov. 3 burglary in Greenfield Twp.

Police also discovered 200 packets of heroin and $1,000 in cash during the search.

Argust was taken into custody and charged by Tpr. Mark Keyes with 22 counts of receiving stolen property. Drug charges were also filed against South Gibson man.

Argust was arraigned in Clifford District Court by Magisterial District Judge Suzanne Brainard. Bail was set at $100,000. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Nov. 16.

Police are continuing the investigation.
