Forest City hosts County Chorus

Students from Blue Ridge, Elk Lake, Forest City, Lackawanna Trail, Montrose, Mountain View and Susquehanna performed Wedesnday, Nov. 16, as the Senior County Chorus under the direction of Katherine Whitaker.

Forest CityRegiona lSchool District hosted this year’s Junior and Senior County Chorus performance, Wednesday, Nov. 16.

Students from Blue Ridge, ElkLake, ForestCity, Lackawanna Trail, Montrose, Mountain Viewand Susquehanna attended the day-long rehearsal that ended with an evening performance.

Stacey Whitaker conducted the Junior County Chorus, accompanied by Alison Yuravich.

The Senior County Chorus was led by

Each group performed five songs.

The Junior Chorus capped off their offerings with “A Patriotic Salute” with audience members who had served in the armed forces standing for recognition as their branch song was performed.

The Senior County Chorus carried the patriotic theme, kicking off its song set with “America the Beautiful.”

Each choir was comprised of about 100 students from the participating schools.
