With a 20-17 overtime victory over theSan Francisco49ers on Sunday night, the New York Giants, featuring Montrose Area graduate Chris Snee, secured their place in Super Bowl XLVI.
The Giants used a 31-yard field goal from kicker Lawrence Tynes in overtime to break a 17-17 tie withSan Francisco.
Snee, a right guard, had two solo tackles for the Giants to help them take the win.
New York(12-7) moves on to play the New England Patriots on Sunday, Feb. 5, at6:20 p.m.at Lucas Oil Stadium inIndianapolis,Ind., in the Super Bowl.
