Former MV teacher waives arraignment

A 25-year-old formerMountain Viewteacher waived his rights to arraignment in Susquehanna County Court Tuesday afternoon on a charge that he furnished alcohol to minors.

Bryan Hoover, now ofMansfield, had his charges bound over from Magistrate Suzanne Brainard’s court  on March 20.

The charge stemmed from aJune 11, 2011, incident in which followingMountain ViewHigh School’s graduation ceremonies,Hoover  allegedly provided alcoholic drinks to students at his residence.

In March, a charge of corruption of minors was dropped as well as that of reckless endangerment.

According to District Attorney Jason Legg, he is scheduled to appear in ARD (Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition) Court on May 11.

ARD is generally set up for first-time offenders who can have their record cleared following 12 months in the program.
