A body of a man who had been reported missing Thursday was found dead along Interstate 81 in Lenox Twp. Friday morning, July 20.
Richard P. Holmes, 63, was reported missing on July 19 after he failed to show up to work for the two days prior and never returned home.
According to Susquehanna County Coroner Anthony Conarton died of natural causes. An autopsy was conducted on Saturday, July 21.
Holmes had placed a phone call to his employer July 17 advising him that he was stuck in traffic and would be late for work.
His vehicle was found abandoned on the side of the roadway with his cell phone and personal effects left behind.
Clifford Fire/EMS, Susquehanna County Sheriff and K-9 unit and members of PSP, Gibson conducted a search for Holmes. Tpr. Christopher Cole investigated.
