A Little Meadows man was killed in a Thursday night crash in Silver Lake Twp.
Joseph Keith Rafferty, 49, was ejected from the vehicle on Hawleyton Rd., about two miles east of Rt. 267. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Passenger Kimberly Kelly-Mott, 45, was also ejected from the vehicle during the crash. She was transported to Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, N.Y., for treatment.
Rafferty was westbound when he lost control of the 1999 Didge 1500 pickup truck after he failed to negotiate a right hand curve and the vehicle left the road at about 11 p.m.
The truck rolled over several times, ejecting both Rafferty and Mott, as it reentered the roadway.
The crash investigation by Tpr. A.J. Calzola is continuing. Police were assisted at the scene by Silver Lake Fire and EMS; Montrose Minutemen paramedics; and the Susquehanna County Coroner’s office.
