Compressor stations approved by county planners

BY STACI WILSON

The Susquehanna County Planning Commission issued final approvals on several natural gas industry related land developments.

The single engine, WPX natural gas compressor station on the Depue property in Franklin Twp. received final approval at the June 25 meeting.

Susquehanna Gathering Company 1 LLC received its final approval, contingent upon the planning department’s receipt of the sound study for one building that will house six engines on TNT Limited Partnership property on Sutton Rd., New Milford Twp.

DTE Energy also received final approval for the Bluestone Gathering office building, located in the Oliver Rd. area of New Milford Twp.

The planning commission tabled a land development review of a Pump N Pantry commercial land development expansion in Bridgewater Twp.

Before the project can move forward, a PennDOT driveway permit is needed, as is a NPDES permit and notification from the Bridgewater Municipal Authority stating it will continue to serve the property.
Planning Director Bob Templeton said Bridgewater Twp. also has its own setbacks and does not use the setbacks in the county’s subdivision and land development ordinance.
