BY STACI WILSON

A New Milford Twp. woman died Saturday night in a fire that investigators say was intentionally set.

Investigators discovered the body of Kathleen Ashby-Kaminsky, 50, inside the residence once they were able to enter the 530 Gaylord Road property.

According to police, the fire was reported at about 11:30 p.m., Nov. 16.

The fire has been ruled arson by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal. The investigation into the blaze is continuing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police in Gibson at 570-465-3154.

On January 29, 2012, Kaminsky reported that a seismic bag had been dropped by a helicopter onto the back deck of her home.

Following an investigation by the Federal Aviation Adminsitration, it was determined the bag dropped 310-feet from the home and it was not known how the bag ended up on the deck of the residence.
