Fire destroys restaurant

Fire ripped through Jenny Leigh’s Country Cookin’ restaurant in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Nov. 11. The building, located on Rt. 11, Kingsley, was a total loss, according to Harford Fire Co. Assistant Chief Chad Batzel. The call came in just after 3 a.m. Emergency crews were still on the scene Tuesday morning. In addition to Harford Fire, other companies responding to the blaze were Clifford, Hop Bottom, New Milford, Great Bend, Thompson, Greenfield, Nicholson and Factoryville. Batzel said a fire marshal was on scene Tuesday but, at press time, the cause of the fire was still undetermined.
