Ross Fauquier scored what he called the “hardest two points of his life,” and led Lackawanna Trail to a 74-53 win over Mountain View on Tuesday in a Lackawanna Division IV boys basketball game.

In the third quarter, after missing three straight layups, Fauquier went to the free-throw line and connected on both for the 1,000th point in his career.

“This means a lot to me,” said Fauquier, who finished with 17 points. “It is every basketball player’s dream, I think, when they start playing to score 1,000 points.

“I just have to thank all of my coaches and teammates who have helped me achieve my dream.”

Jerry Chilewski also scored 17 points, Tyler Rzucidlo had 15 points and Aiden Holmes

added 14 points for Lackawanna Trail.

Ryan Lavin led Mountain View with 15 points and Chris White scored 11.

At Montrose, Troy Ely scored a game-high 23 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead the ninth-ranked Meteors to a 54-42 win over Blue Ridge.

3-pointers and used a 20-2 second quarter to build a 21-point halftime lead.

Austin Darrow scored 21 points to pace Blue Ridge; Ty Herbert and Jeffrey Morris each added eight.

At Elk Lake, No. 4 Holy Cross gained a 57-50 Division III-IV crossover win over the Warriors.

Hunter Watkins scored 20 points for Elk Lake and Bailey Newhart had 17.

Adam Kowalewski hit seven 3-pointers and scored 27 points to lead the Foresters to a Division IV win over Blue Ridge, 75-60, on Saturday.

Noah Fedak had 14 points for Forest City and Noah Yates added 13.

Austin Darrow led Blue Ridge with 19 points, Mike Allen had 13 and Ty Herbert scored 11.

At Elk Lake, Bailey Newhart hit five 3-pointers and scored 29 points to lead the Warriors in a 68-43 win over Mountain View.

Hunter Watkins added 13 points for the winners.

Nate Ransom led Mountain View with eight points.

At Carbondale, the Chargers scored a 53-17 a Division III-IV crossover win over Susquehanna.

Luke Falletta led Susquehanna with nine points.
