A 31-year-old man died from multiple traumatic injuries after a snowmobile crash, Wayne County Coroner Edward Howell said.
Brian Matthew Sheare of Clifford Twp. was pronounced dead on arrival by a Wayne Memorial Hospital emergency room doctor after a friend found him and the wrecked snowmobile near Route 171 and the Rails to Trails trail system.
Howell said hospital staff told him that Sheare’s friend said he found the victim sometime after 1 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, Sheare was traveling with a friend along the old O&W tracks when his snow machine went off the trail and collided with a tree.
His death was ruled accidental. Tpr. Robert Bauman investigated.
