Bankruptcy halts Pinchot property sale

A bankruptcy filing by television personality Bronson Pinchot put the brakes on a sheriff’s sale of some of his properties in Harford Twp.

Pinchot filed for a Chapter 13 bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of the Central District of California, claiming fewer than 49 creditors and liabilities between $100,000 and $500,000.

The filing stopped a sheriff’s sale of several of Pinchot’s foreclosed properties, including some that were featured on a short-lived cable TV show, The Bronson Pinchot Project.

An official at the Susquehanna County Sheriff’s Office said the properties may be back on the block July 28, but the sale could be pushed back or canceled indefinitely until the bankruptcy is resolved.
