Meteors take BR in 12th

Montrose’s Hunter Traver scored the go-ahead run in the 12th inning on a triple by Bryden Jerauld and then turned an unassisted double play to end the game for Montrose, 6-5, over Blue Ridge in Division IV.

Blue Ridge loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the 12th, but Traver snagged a line drive and doubled off a runner to seal the win.

Brendan Buck doubled for Montrose; and Jordan Goff doubled for Blue Ridge.

Chris Lee got the win from the mound for Montrose, pitching three of the 12 innings.

Montrose is now 6-1 on the season; Blue Ridge is 4-3.

The Raiders did pick up a win last week over Lackawanna Trail, 7-1.

At Blue Ridge, Jake Decker tossed a three-hitter with 14 strikeouts to lead the Raiders to a Division IV win.

Nick Folk had three hits and scored three runs for the Raiders. Logan Conrad tripled.

At Forest City, winning pitcher Mitchell Blake had two hits, including a double, scored twice and drove in one to lead the Foresters to a Division IV win, 8-2, over Mountain View.

Zeb Feduchak had three hits, including a double, and an RBI for Mountain View.

Elk Lake 10, Mountain View 9

At Elk Lake, Caleb Ely hit a walk-off double to score Zach Groover with the winning run as the Warriors rallied for a win, 10-9, over the Eagles.
Blake Chew had two hits, including a triple, three runs and two RBIs for Elk Lake.

James McDermott went 4 for 4 with a double, two runs and three RBIs for Mountain View.

Sam Flannery and Caleb Ely each had two doubles for Mt. View.

At Lackawanna Trail, R.J. Kuruts had two doubles, scored two runs and drove in one to lead Forest City, 11-2, over Trail.

At Carbondale, The Chargers took a Division III-IV crossover win, 13-1 over Susquehanna.

Evan Haley doubled for the Sabers.

The 10-run rule ended the game after the top of the fifth.
