Athletes from Susquehanna County schools will compete in District II playoff action this week.
A schedule of events to come follows.
Softball
In Class A action, Mountain View and Forest City will face off on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Mountain View. The winner will take on Blue Ridge in the semifinals on Friday at Blue Ridge at 4:30 p.m.
Elk Lake received a bye in the first round of AA action, and will take on the winner of Tuesday evening’s Carbondale/Dunmore game at home on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
Montrose Area played on Tuesday night against Holy Cross, and if they won will face off on Thursday against the GAR/Lake-Lehman winner at a time and location to be determined.
Baseball
Class A baseball action saw Susquehanna take on Blue Ridge at Blue Ridge on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. The winner will play on Thursday against the winner of Tuesday night’s Forest City/Old Forge matchup.
Elk Lake will take on Mid Valley on Wednesday in first round action at Mid Valley at 3 p.m. in Class AA.
Also in Class AA, Mountain View will take on West Side CTC on Wednesday at home at 4 p.m., while Montrose will play Dunmore on Wednesday at home at 4:30 p.m.
Volleyball
Forest City competed in the District II Class AA volleyball playoffs on Tuesday night, and were eliminated with a first-round, 3-0, loss to Holy Redeemer.
