Warrior hockey splits week

The Elk Lake field hockey team traveled to Montrose on Friday where it took a 2-0 win over Montrose, after dropping a 1-0 decision to Hanover on Tuesday.

Against Montrose, Dakota Sherman scored a pair of goals to lead the Warriors in the shutout. Sherman connection off an assist from Steven Paskaitis at 16:17 and again from Kristi Krishak at 11:48 in the first half.

Elk Lake had 22 shots on goal and 15 corners while goalie Brooke Seamans had two saves.

Montrose took five shots on goal and had two corners while goalie Audra Everitt picked up 20 saves.

Earlier in the week, Elk Lake dropped a 1-0 decision to Hanover at home. The team is now 3-5-1 on the year.
