Humber sentenced to six months, extended probation

A Montrose area man was sentenced Thursday, Oct. 21, to serve six to 23 months in the Susquehanna County Correctional Facility for sexually assaulting two females.

Following one day of testimony trial on the first set of charges lodged against him, George Humber, 57, pleaded guilty on Sept. 14 to two counts of statutory sexual assault. One case incident occurred in January 2007; the other case dates back to November 2000.

Humber was also sentenced to 18 years probation, following prison time.

Others sentenced in the Susquehanna County Court of Common Pleas:

Warren Anson Ball, 47, Montrose, to 90 days to 12 months in Susquehanna County Correctional Facility, served 45 days incarceration and 45 days home confinement for Driving Under the Influence in Montrose Borough on March 26.

Peck Joseph Milbauer, 38, Susquehanna, to 10 days to 12 months in Susquehanna County Correctional Facility for Driving Under the Influence in Clifford Township on Feb. 14, 2009.

Michael Matthew Ely Sr, 39, of Dimock, to 90 days to 23 ½ months in Susquehanna County Correctional Facility, credit for time served, followed by  three years probation for Driving Under the Influence in Springville on July 15, 2009.  Ely also received, 90 days to 23 ½ months in Susquehanna County Correctional Facility, credit for time served, followed by three years probation, sentence to run concurrent for Driving Under the Influence in Liberty Township on Nov. 3, 2009.

Michael William Hillier, 21, of Montrose, to five to 18 months in Susquehanna County Correctional Facility for Burglary in Lenox Twp. on February 28.  Hillier also received three years probation to run consecutive to the above sentence for Criminal Attempt/Burglary in Lenox Twp. on March 10.

Scott A Stoll, 38, of Union Dale, to 12 months probation, for Disorderly Conduct in Herrick Twp. on March 5.

John James Bandonis, 57, of South Montrose, to six months probation for Driving Under the Influence in Montrose on April 29.

Frank James Siglin, 48, of Montrose, to four to 15 months in Susquehanna County Correctional Facility for Simple Assault in Montrose on September 6.

Eric Arthur Benscoter, 30, of Montrose, to 7 ½ to 23 months in Susquehanna County Correctional Facility for Theft by Unlawful Taking in Rush on September 10, 2010.
