Three charged in prescription drug heist

Susquehanna County detectives estimate that up to $100,000 worth of assorted prescription drugs were stolen from a Susquehanna pharmacy on Oct. 29.

Susquehanna County Detective William Strong filed charges Tuesday, Nov. 9, against three people in connection to the burglary of Reddon’s Pharmacy.

Two of the suspects are currently in custody while a third suspect remains at large.

Darryl Chaffee, 36, Scranton, and Jerrod Decker, 24, Hallstead, were both charged with the burglary, Strong said.

The two also face felony theft charges, conspiracy, receiving stolen property and several controlled substance charges.

Chaffee is currently being held in the Broome County Jail, Binghamton, N.Y.

Decker remains at large and is wanted by the Susquehanna County District Attorney’s Office.

Annie Chaffee, 32, Hallstead, was charged with receiving stolen property. She also faces several controlled substance charges.

Chaffee is being held on a probation violation in the Susquehanna County Correctional Facility.

Although 5,000-7,000 pills have been recovered, a quantity of pills remain unaccounted for, Strong said.
