Blue Ridge approves sports jointure

Blue Ridge’s school board approved joining together its golf and wrestling programs with Susquehanna Community at its Monday (Feb. 21) meeting.

According to Susquehanna Community superintendent Bronson Stone, a motion is set to be voted on at Susquehanna’s Wednesday, Mar. 16, meeting to approve the jointure on its end.

Stone said that he plans to give a strong recommendation in favor of the proposal, citing that it will “improve the overall climate of high school sports in the area.”

If approved, Blue Ridge will retain the identity of both the golf and wrestling teams.
