The Forest City boys’ basketball team picked up a District II Class A first-round playoff win against St. Michael’s School at Pittston Area on Friday.
Forest City jumped out to a 23-6 lead after one quarter and were ahead of the Knights 33-14 by halftime.
After the half, the Foresters continued to lead the way as they topped St. Mike’s 14-2 in the third and finished off the win with a 17-10 run in the fourth.
Joe Caruso led Forest City with a game-high 24 points while Zach Mendoza and Jake Fedak each added seven.
Forest City took on top-seeded Old Forge on Tuesday night. Results were not available at press time.
